Our report has been internally reviewed by Sunway Group Internal Audit Department and externally assured by SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd, which has verified that the policies, initiatives and data disclosed are accurate and acceptable. Our GHG emissions data has been externally assured by BDO PLT in accordance with the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3000.

Sustainability Governance Structure

At Sunway, the Board Sustainability Committee (BSC) has oversight of matters related to sustainability and climate change, with ultimate responsibility for the Group’s sustainability progress.

Board of Directors

The Board provides strategic direction and oversight to the Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with the Group’s sustainability goals, core values and governance standards. It is also responsible for guiding management and ensuring the business operates with integrity and regulatory compliance.

Board Sustainability Committee (BSC)

The BSC reviews, oversees and recommends the Group’s sustainability strategy and performance for Board approval, meeting at least twice a year to evaluate the Group’s sustainability progress.

The Jeffrey Sachs Center on Sustainable Development (JSC)

The Jeffrey Sachs Center on Sustainable Development at Sunway University advises the BSC and makes recommendations based on its academic research.

Group Sustainability Department (GS)

The GS department ensures compliance with ESG disclosure requirements by publishing the annual Sustainability Report, coordinating ESG data across the Group and recommending policies and action plans.

IFRS S1 and S2 Working Committee

The IFRS S1 and S2 Working Committee, which was formally approved in April 2026, is responsible for the systematic evaluation of sustainability-related risks and opportunities, in close collaboration with the GS team. The Committee is co-chaired by the Chief Financial Officer and the Head of Sustainability, and comprises representatives from the Sustainability, Risk Management and Strategy functions. The Board-level Risk Management Committee is also kept informed of developments by this Committee.
