Embodied Carbon Emissions
- Guided by Sunway’s embodied carbon emissions roadmap, we have taken steps to prepare for EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), which is implemented gradually from 2023 to 2025, with mandatory CBAM certificate procurement for embedded emissions beginning in 2026. The roadmap will guide us in the declaration of the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF), a key element of CBAM, for our Building Materials and Quarry products. We will subsequently disclose our Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) to ensure minimal negative environmental impacts of our products.

- Our sustainable construction strategy integrates sustainable construction materials, enabling us to minimise our environmental impact and lower operational costs.

- Our Building Materials division upholds strict environmental certifications through SIRIM ECO 023:2016 and SIRIM ECO 033:2019 eco-labels. Our product quality assurance complies with MS1380, MS1314 and MS106601 specifications, supported by ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications across operational sites.
- Our eco-friendly products include Environmental Pavers, which is certified with MyHIJAU and Green Label, and water-permeable paving solution NeuPave.
